It offers many opportunities in scholarship, for example, the SINGA Fully Funded Scholarship in Singapore 2025 SINGA(The Singapore International Graduate Award), through which an individual can pursue their Ph.D. education for the betterment of global links and illuminate their research career.

SINGA fully funded Singapore International Graduate Award 2025 is the collaboration between the Agency for Science, the Singapore Management University (SMU), the National University of Singapore (NUS), the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Technology & Research (A*STAR), and the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). 

SINGA research scholarship in Singapore nurtures a valuable research community for international students. Candidates will indulge in a cultural environment alongside world-renowned researchers in educational art facilities.

SINGA allows PhD studies in the following fields:

  • Biomedical Sciences, 
  • Computing and Information Sciences, 
  • Engineering and Technology
  • Physical Sciences.

Eligibility:

  • All international graduates are welcome to apply with enthusiasm for research and excellent academic results.
  • Advanced Written and spoken English
  • Academic referees ensure good reports.
  • Note: SINGA is planned primarily for international students applying for the first time in Singapore. International students studying or who have studied in Singapore tertiary institutions, Singaporeans, and Permanent Residents of Singapore are not eligible.

 The above eligibility criteria still need to be completed.

(A*STAR may add further selection criteria based on SINGA’s scholarship policies).

Benefits/Coverage:

For up to 4 years of PhD studies, including the award, provides support in:

  • Monthly stipend of S$2,700, which will be increased to S$3,200 after the passing of the Qualifying Examination*
  • Tuition fees
  • Only a one-time settling-in allowance of S$1,000
  • Only one one-time Airfare grant of up to S$1,500 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

  • Browse Ph.D. research projects and select the ones you want.
  • A recent passport-sized photo (in .jpeg or .png format) and a Valid Passport.
  • All transcripts and reports must be translated into English.

 Mandatory Documents:

  •  A letter of certification from the University on the applicant’s candidature. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree certificate or if certificate/scroll still needs to be conferred.
  • Bachelor’s and Master’s academic transcripts.
  • Applicants applying to NUS supervisors/projects must submit their GRE scores in their SINGA application form.
  • Two recommendation reports must be completed and submitted by the referees.
  • For all other applicants to submit GRE scores as part of the university admission requirement, one may have requested by the University. 

( For admission(IELTS / TOEFL / SAT I & II / GATE results are optional until requested by the University)

  • Any hard copy email must not be sent to the SINGA office.
  • All the information the applicant provides must be on point, as the information will be used for verification upon your first log-in.
  •  Application submission should be as early as possible so that your referees can submit their online recommendation reports, as only applications with two recommendation reports will be processed.
  • After logging in, please apply for the correct scholarship – “Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA)” – in the application portal.

Within 12 weeks till the application closing date, Only shortlisted candidates will be notified. 

     SINGA does not require any specific certificate in the English language, and Recipients may be offered temporary or permanent positions at institutes in Singapore or abroad after completion of their Ph.D. studies.
