How to get exempted from submitting IELTS scores

  • You don’t have to submit an English languages proficiency test, such as IELTS or TOEFL if your previous degree was obtained in an English-medium institution.
  • Candidates who have completed their education at an English Language Educational institution may study without IELTS.
  • Candidates must submit an official certificate or statement on headed and stamped paper to prove their previous education.

How to Study Without IELTS?

  • First, find the universities and courses of interest to you in Norway. 
  • Second, check the university ranking by simply typing the university’s name into Google.
  • Third, apply online to universities where IELTS is not required.
  • Fourth, you must submit an official certificate or statement on headed and stamped paper attesting to your previous English education. 

Step 2: Online test or a video interview 

  • Furthermore, if your application is approved, your university might invite you for an online or video interview through Skype.
  • Hence, this interview will also examine your English language proficiency. You should perform well in the interview to get admission to a Norwegian institution without IELTS.

Norway Student Visa Requirements

  • Valid Passport
  • Complete the Norway Student Visa Application Form
  • Two passport-size photographs
  • The Admission letter to the school
  • Evidence of your financial funds to study in Norway. 
  • Evidence of accommodation
  • Proof that once your visa expires, you’ll leave the country.
  • A print of a complete signed UDI document checklist; you have to submit it with your other documents.

Eligibility for Norway Student Visa 

  • Candidates must get admission into a Norwegian university.
  • The university must be authorized by the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (NOKUT)
  • Full-time course of study 
  • Candidates must have found accommodation in Norway. 
  • Candidates must have enough money to cover living expenses. Approximately 13,600 USD per year covers living expenses in Norway, and the money must be kept in a Norwegian bank account.
